"For courage and devotion to duty displayed in volunteering and taking part in an expedition to the Imperial Chemical Industries' Godowns in Great George Street, some 200 yards in front of the British front line in order to clear away looters on a complaint from the Military that their fire was being masked on the morning of the 23rd December.

and guarding the Star Ferry Barricades between 11.00 hours on the 11th and 01.00 hours on the 12th, during the evacuation of Aowloon. "I found the assistance of inspector Cunningham invaluable. A tireless aworker and always exceptionally level- headed. Inspector Mic Walter and Chief Inspector Rozeskwy worked very well. All are worthy of recognition."
"Aberdeen suffered from intense shell fire throughout being in close, proximity to the Naval Headquarters at the
Aberdeen Industrial School.

calm manner he acted before and after the surrender."
